ABOUT OUR HISTORY

BAHAMAS INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGIES

Our company was established in 2001 by John T. Hynes.
Bahamas Industrial Technologies quickly grew to become the island’s first choice for machining and industrial repair services.
In 2008, we moved to our new 56,000-ft2 facility within the Freeport Harbor, where we have continued to expand our services.

MEET OUR TEAM

We have a dynamic team of
professionals dedicated to meeting
your industrial equipment needs.

WHO LEADS US

Our President and CEO worked in a ship repair business for more than 20 years before venturing to the Bahamas. He also received formal training at the MAN and B&W diesel engine manufacturing plants. The career path he took provided him with the hands-on knowledge needed to handle the many facets of our business.

WHERE TO FIND US

We are located in Freeport, on Grand Bahama, which is part of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. It is only 90 miles from the coast of Florida and a mere 25-minute flight from the Miami area airports. Freeport Harbor is the closest offshore port to the United States and is located at the crossroads of routes between Europe and the Americas. Its channel entrance and turning basin depth is 16m/52ft and is accessible to the largest vessels. This harbor is part of 150,000 acres of free trade area and houses one of the most vital industrial parks of the Caribbean.
